How Holoholo earns money, what we collect, and what we don’t.
Last updated:
Service fees
Holoholo collects a service fee on bookable experiences. The fee covers concierge labor, supplier coordination, booking automation, customer service, and platform operations.
The total cost is always visible at checkout. No hidden fees are added later. The fee is shown as a separate line item on the deposit receipt so you can see exactly what Holoholo retains vs. what goes to the operator.
Many regenerative workdays are free or low-donation (≤$60) — for those, the Holoholo coordination fee is the primary cost. For higher-cost experiences (paid tours, multi-day programs), the fee is a percentage of the booking total.
Operator relationships
Operator inclusion in our catalog is based on the vetting criteria documented at /methodology. It is not pay-to-play. No operator has paid for placement on Holoholo; no operator has been excluded based on lack of payment.
We do receive a small share of paid-experience revenue when travelers book through Holoholo. For free workdays (most reef / taro / forest days), our share is zero — those bookings are coordination labor only.
Data we collect
- Trip-planning inputs — your dates, interests, party composition, fitness level, dietary preferences. Used to build your itinerary; not shared with third parties beyond the operators you book with.
- Contact info — email + phone, used for booking confirmations + safety updates. Magic-link auth means no password is stored.
- Payment info — collected by Stripe; Holoholo never sees your card number directly.
- Booking history — for refunds, recovery, and year-over-year planning.
Full data-handling practices at /privacy.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell traveler data to third parties.
- We don’t share operator-partner financials publicly. Some operators ask for confidentiality on their workday economics.
- We don’t accept payment from operators for higher placement.
