Methodology
Drive times come from Holoholo’s internal predictions (used to power the departure-nudge cron in the trip portal) cross-checked against current Google Maps estimates. Wait times reflect typical 2026 patterns; specific weekends with big surf or holiday weeks can be 2-3× the baselines above.

Wait times are typical, not guaranteed. State parks reservation systems update independently; always verify on the day of your hike. Trail closures (Maunawili Falls currently) are noted but should be re-confirmed via the Hawaiʻi DLNR website.
